British government helping Kenya recover Ksh. 525 million stashed in Jersey Island, EACC reveals

The Kenyan ethics and anti-corruption commission has revealed that the British government is helping Kenya recover Ksh. 525 million that was stashed in Jersey Island by former Kenya power boss Samuel Gichuru and former energy minister Chris Okemo. The anti-corruption commissions CEO Halakhe Waqo also told the justice and legal affairs committee that the UK would soon remit ksh.52 million to the Kenyan government after a British court fined Smith and Ouzman company for attempting to bribe Kenyan electoral officials in the ‘Chickengate scandal.
