Parliamentary committee wants government to redraw compensation law to accommodate all IDPs

Now as Kenya marks eight years since the national accord that brought an end to ethnic violence, Kenya’s parliamentary implementation committee wants the government to redraw a compensation law that locks out persons displaced earlier than 2007 elections. The law provides that only persons displaced after the 2007 skirmishes are to be resettled.
