01, Dec 2015

The Strathmore University has defended their actions in security drill that left one dead and several injured. The University leadership said the drill followed months of training on disaster preparedness and they’d only wanted to test the students’ level of awareness. The University spoke as the Kenya National Police Service said there wasn’t proper coordination with the security agencies before the drill was conducted. KTN’S Sharon Momanyi also traced the family of Esther Kidambi who died in the drill.
