East African Breweries appoint Jane Karuku to head its local subsidiary.

East African Breweries has appointed Jane Karuku to head its local subsidiary, Kenya breweries following the exit of Joe Muganda last month. Prior to her appointment MS Karuku served as Cadbury Schweppes managing director and brings with her over 20 years’ experience in the fast moving consumer goods market. She joins the business at a time competition in the beer market is heating up with the entry of multinational brands. Despite that, EABL still commands 80 percent of the beer market and is making headway in growing is share of the lower and upper spirits markets.
