Kenya’s David Rudisha lit up the Olympic games with a sensational victory in the 800 metres, breaking his own world record in the process…and the Kenyan national anthem was played for the second time in the London Olympics after Rudisha fulfilled his promise of winning gold in the 800 metres. Rudisha did not just win the 800 metres gold but smashed his own world record by a 10th of a second in 1 minute 40.90 seconds. He also became the first athlete to set a new world record on the track at the London 2012 Olympics ….
