Police commissioner Matthew Iteere now says examination cheating can be eliminated but several obstacles bar the examination body, Kenya National Examination Council from achieving this. Iteere who appeared before the parliamentary committee on education to explain the role of police officers in safeguarding examination materials following irregularities last year, defended his officers against claims that they may have aided and abetted those planning to cheat. It further emerged that technology is a great hindrance in the fight against cheating in exams. KTN’s Wilkister Nyabwa reports.
