Conservancy Rangers lauded for great effort in Samburu

1st August, 2018

Conservancy rangers in Marsabit County have been lauded for their efforts in fighting poaching and enhancing security in the region.

The group is said to have been instrumental in reducing poaching cases from 108 in 2012 to 9 elephant poaching cases in 2017. At the same time Marsabit residents were called upon to join hands in wildlife and environment conservation efforts to boost tourism in the region as they were urged to practice good waste management methods to protect wildlife and marine animals.
