NewsDesk: During bilateral talks, South Africa and Kenya failed to strike a deal to ease visa restri

Calls for closer ties between Kenya and South Africa relations dominated a state banquet  hosted in in honour of visiting  South African president Jacob Zuma .President Uhuru and his guest Zuma  both underscored the need to eliminate 'red tape' in trade between the two nations even with the cementing of ties. During the bilateral talks, South Africa and Kenya failed to strike a deal to ease visa restrictions affecting Kenyans. Kenya wants the cost of South African visas to be reduced by at least 30 per cent and insists on visa exemptions for Kenyans with diplomatic passports.
