The anti-corruption commission has summoned the leadership of the Nairobi county assembly to assist in investigations on unethical conduct by MCA’s last week. The ethics and anti-corruption commission (EACC) is investigating last Thursday’s scuffle in the county assembly during an attempt by renegade CORD MCA Samuel Nyangw’ara to table a motion to impeach Governor Evans Kidero. Fellow party members threw water bottles at him, denouncing him as a traitor. EACC has written letters to Nairobi speaker Alex ole Magelo and clerk Jacob Ngwele asking them to appear at integrity center on Friday at 9am. The commission further wants the clerk to provide it with closed circuit television (CCTV) footage of the incident. Nyangw’ara, will this afternoon table the impeachment motion again.
