28th September, 2015

US President Barrack Obama says corruption, impunity and lack of respect for human rights are some of the threats to the global development goals that have just been adopted at the 70th session of the United Nations general assembly. He says world leaders must confront the challenges if the goals have to bear fruit. The US President urged wealthy nations to uplift poor nations not by the traditional way of handouts but through sustainable ways like boosting entrepreneurship and technology transfer.
