25, Aug 2015

Police in Nakuru’s Rongai area, have recovered an AK-47 gun loaded with 30 bullets as they launch a man-hunt for two suspects involved in a robbery at a local factory in the town. According to security officers the two thugs aboard a motor bike waylaid the driver of a lorry belonging to the feeds factory this morning. It is said that the driver of the lorry who was negotiating a corner outside the factory’s gate failed to stop and ran over the motorcycle before the thugs took off into a nearby forest. The thugs left behind the gun, their phones and the motorbike. District AP Commander, Rongai Sub-County Lameck Maragia says this is not the first time such an incident is happening in the area, noting that the gun recovered might be same that had been used to harass drivers along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.
