The government to make public details of Uganda agreement

19th August, 2015

The government has reiterated its stand that there was no agreement signed between Kenya and Uganda as regards to importation of sugar into Kenya. According to Foreign Affairs and International Trade Cabinet Secretary Amb. Amina Mohamed, no trade agreements were signed between the two states. She has categorically stated that the trade talks are being politicised and Kenya is not in any way likely to receive its sugar deficits from one single country saying it was against the COMESA Agreements.
