Traders at Gikomba market are counting their loses after fire razed their stalls on last night. Nairobi city county fire fighters had a difficult time containing the blaze that started about 10pm. However, several traders managed to rescue some of their goods while others watched in disbelief as the fire raged. Traders complained about the delay in the arrival of the emergency services, saying the county government must improve on its response to disasters. Traders at the scene struggled to control street boys who were scrambling for scrap metal.
