Carjackers arrested in Nakuru

Police in Nakuru have arrested five people suspected to be part of a gang hijacking lorries along the Naivasha – Nakuru highway. The arrest came as goods worth over 2 million shillings that were being transported to Ukwala supermarket disappeared only to be recovered at a house in njoro. According to OCPD Njoro Ochorokodi Okadie, the lorry was located within the using a car tracking system that had been installed in the lorry. The goods recovered included utensils, suitcases including other goods had already been offloaded and put inside the main house. The lorry was carjacked at Baruk area along Naivasha road and the driver reported the incident to the nearest police station after the carjackers set him free.
