Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has kicked out security officers seconded to man his residence in Mombasa. The governor who has been at loggerheads with Regional Coordinator Nelson Marwa yesterday said he will not need any government security following the withdrawal of his bodyguards over what the government called reorganization of security. According to the officers, they have now been forced to spend their nights outside the residence after their bosses send them back to the governor’s house. This brings a new twist to the controversy regarding the withdrawal of Joho’s and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi’s security guards. Yesterday, Marwa maintained that the matter should not be politicised.
