Tracking Covid-19: Kenya records 324 new cases, 10 deaths in last 24 hours

Taking a look at the Covid 19 situation in the country, in the last 24 hours, 324 new infections have been recorded, representing a positivity rate of 7.4%. Total Covid 19 infections now stand at 168,432. Unfortunately, 10 more deaths have been recorded on varying dates raising the fatalities to 3,059. Hospital admissions are 1,084, with 121 patients in ICU, 25 on ventilator support, and 154 on supplemental oxygen. The total number of Kenyans vaccinated is over 900,000 with those over 58 years of age being the majority, almost 60% of the vaccinations. Currently, more than 950,000 Kenyans have been vaccinated against Covid 19 disease with a larger portion being those above 58 years.
