Retired President Moi says Kabarak schools will remain open despite the teachers strike

Uhuru’s address came against a backdrop of mounting pressure for the government to resolve the crisis. Retired president Daniel Arap Moi called for a National Debate on the issue but appeared to criticise the move to close private schools. He said Kabarak schools, would remain open despite the government’s directive. Joe Ageyo reports on the standoff that is now entering its fourth week.
