For most people in the rural areas, various communal events are a place to catch up, eat and drink. In most instances, firewood is the preferred mode of fuel used to cook and as a result of this, many people are left with the headache of washing cooking utensils that are left with black soot.
This was the case for twin sisters Margaret and Mary Kalama. After attending an event held in their rural home, they noticed most of the women were shying away from washing duties.
That is when they decided to look for a solution to this predicament. This is the story of how they came up with Ants of Africa Limited, a company that specializes in the production of various fast moving consumer goods or FMCG.
