Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya’s urgent application for judicial review of incitement charges against him failed to start at the Court of Appeal in Kisumu.

The case was adjourned after Oparanya’s counsel, James Orengo failed to appear to pave way for the presiding judges to make a final ruling.

Oparanya, who was also not in court, had earlier appeared before Kakamega High Court Judge Justice Ruth Sitati where he was charged with incitement to violence.
