Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Provide audio-visual information services
  • Support students and staff to access E-books and online journals
  • Coach and train students and staff on information searching and retrieval
  • Provide selective dissemination of audio-visual information to students and staff
  • Ensure audio-visual collection is well arranged for ease of retrieval and utilization
  • Collect and upload past examination papers on KeMUwiki
  • Provide online past examination papers information services to DLM students
  • Shelving and shelf reading
  • Charge and discharge information materials to students and staff
  • Minimum Requirements

    The suitable candidate should have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Diploma in Information Studies (Library and Information Science)
  • Relevant working experience from an institution of higher learning
  • Good organizational skills
  • Proficiency in ICT skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge in KOHA
  • Working knowledge in Dspace
  • Adequate knowledge in Audio-visual Information Sources and Services
  • Conversant with training users on e-resources.

    Method of Application

  • Clearance from Kenya Revenue Authority
  • Clearance from Higher Education Loans Board
  • Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
  • Clearance from Credit Reference Bureau
  • Criminal Investigation Department (Certificate of Good Conduct)
  • Certificate of Good Conduct from Criminal Investigation Department.
  • Letters of recommendation (in sealed envelopes) from at least three persons familiar with the applicant’s professional experience and general character one of whom must be the pastor of their local church.
  • All the positions above require individuals who are committed to Christian values and are of high ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism.
