The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's supply chain and logistics strategy and operations  from factories to distributors/consumers order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity. The Supply Chain Manager will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with suppliers and distributors.

Addition responsibilities will include handling operational Start-up, distribution, warehousing, inventory management, procurement, sales order processing, fleet management, clearing and forwarding, management of in-country service centres, repair management and fault reporting.


  • Plan and implement the supply chain strategy
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams to ensure that orders are fulfilled for Imports, Exports and Local distribution.
  • Maintain supply chain inventory and records, provide management reports and set up a traceability system for fridge spare parts.
  • Setting up the Warehouse and Procurement Operations.
  • Setting up an inventory planning and control process mechanism
  • Handle the Door to Door shipping of Imports while ensuring the process is done legally and at the most cost efficient price.
  • Analyse data from shipping and delivering processes to identify bottlenecks and related issues
  • Determine key supply chain KPIs. Evaluate and report on KPIs
  • Suggest solutions for process improvements, reducing cost and increasing efficiency
  • Identify process bottleneck and agree and implement solutions in a timely manner
  • Train, guide and evaluate employees in the Supply Chain Department
  • Work with finance, sales, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors based on agreed performance metrics.
  • Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals
  • Relationship management with vendors
  • Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly
  • Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes
  • Issue management and resolution (e.g. delays in delivery, accidents)
  • Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth
  • Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (e.g. use of trucks, forklifts)
  • Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards
  • Manage the Technical Officer (once hired) and be the relay of the Group Engineering/R&D team on the ground for testing and technical trainings


  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Supply chain Management (Imports and Local), Materials Management / Logistics, Planning Special Knowledge Exposure to Materials Management.
  • Experience in Start-Ups of the in-bound and out-bound operations within Africa
  • Experience of outbound shipping from China
  • Experience in setting up and managing service centres
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes
  • Working experience of relevant software (e.g. SAP MM)
  • Able to recruit and train staff for the various roles in the Supply chain department
  • Experience in Setting up Warehousing and Procurement Operations.
  • Experience in Setting up inventory planning and control process mechanism.
  • Experience in Setting up both Local and Export distribution
  • Experience in Planning and implementing the overall supply chain strategy
