Requirements for Appointment

1. Be a Kenyan citizen;

2. Be a holder of a Bachelor’s degree in tourism, hospitality or related field from a recognized institution/university in Kenya;

3. Must have relevant technical knowledge and experience of not less than four (4) years in the field relevant to the portfolio of the department of Tourism;

4. Strong analytic and computer skills; and,

5. Knowledge in tourism and environmental matters will be an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work at this level would involve assisting the Tourism Department in:

1. Developing programs and campaigns for tourism visitor management and destination promotion;

2. Coordinate the implementation of County tourism development plans, programmes and projects;

3. Conducting tourism training, education and awareness campaigns in the County;

4. Offering advisory and extension services to the County tourism sector;

5. Monitoring of County tourism sector growth and development, and prescription of corrective measure; and,

6. Coordination of community based tourism projects and programs
