Our client a busy in store restaurant is currently looking to hire a Chef to be based in Syokimau.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation, presentation and display of meals
  • Supervision and coordination of staff/casuals in production and ensuring quality
  • Record production and operational data on specified forms.
  • Costing of meals and ensuring costs are consistent
  • Determining production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Ensuring customers are engaged and treated well
  • Ensure cleanliness and neatness of work area at all times
  • Estimating amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients.
  • Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards and report any repairs needed to the Floor Supervisor

Qualifications

  • Culinary school Diploma preferred
  • At least 2+ years proven work experience as a Chef
  • Leadership skills
  • Excellent time management abilities
  • Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
  • Familiarity with sanitation regulations
