Our client is a high end hospitality facility in Nairobi CBD. They wish to recruit a professional Human Resources Manager to handle the HR function.
Should be well educated to degree level from a recognized University with specialization in Human Resource Management.
Must be mature both in years and emotional temperament tested in a similar position, preferably in a union environment.
Will demonstrate good hands on experience in all areas of personnel administration and industrial relations. In particular, command of law of contract, the current Labour laws, industrial court procedures, trade union agreements, disciplinary process in unionized environment, experience in performance appraisal, training and training needs analysis, especially if gained in the hotel industry will be a distinct advantage.
Must be a person of high integrity
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent command of the English language both spoken and written and a good command of Swahili.
Must hold a valid practicing certificate from IHRM (K)
The holder will be expected to handle recruitment, placement, staff development, appraisal, rewards, employee records, payroll, the inevitable discipline matters and separations in strict consultation with the heads of department and the General Manager.
The candidate will also advise both the directors and managers on the ideal manning levels vis a vis occupancies ensuring all departments manage leave, off duties and public holidays efficiently with due regard to employee needs and organizational requirements.
