Key Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Ensure Branch profitability through growth of loans and commissions
  2. Aggressive marketing to ensure growth of the Branch membership 
  3. Prepare Branch Management Reports as per the stipulated timelines
  4. Management of  risks- ensure internal controls, physical security of cash &Sacco Property  and ensure overall  adherence to the laid down policies at the his/her Branch
  5. Implementation of the staff targets and ensuring that the Branch targets are met
  6. Staff Management- maintain staff discipline, supervision, training, coaching and development
  7. Ensure that all required branch reconciliations are done accurately and in a timely manner
  8. Advise the CEO in matters of the Branch and his/her region
  9. Ensure Good Customer Service  at the branch at all times to ensure member satisfaction and  retention
  10. Assist the marketing team to identifying and forwarding customer need to aid in developing attractive products & Services
  11. Enhancing Loan recoveries to ensure low Branch PAR
  12. Controls the utilization of, and ensuring proper maintenance and custody of all society assets at the branch.
  13. In liaison with operations/ finance department, ensure adequate branch liquidity and that there is enough cash at all paying points

Requirements and Qualifications:

  1. A diploma in Co-operative Management
  2. Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Business related course or an equivalent from a recognized University will be an added advantage
  3.  Certified Public Accountant- CPA  II/ CCP
  4. Have at least 2 years practical experience in a busy financial institution, such as a Unit/Credit/Branch Manager.
  5. Computer literate
