1. FILM EXAMINATION OFFICER II – KFCB GRADE 8 REF: KFCB/AD/8/2018 (5 POSTS)
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Film Examination Manager the duties and responsibilities at this level will include, but not limited to:
(i) Updating and maintaining film classification
(ii) Organizing for films and trailers to be examined and classified;
(iii) Rating and approving film posters and trailers;
(iv) Issuing periodical film classification
(v) Rating and examining films and broadcast programmes;
(vi) Rating of commercials, music videos, play stations and internet content;
(vii) Carrying out random inspection checks of cinema theatres; and
(viii) Preparing reports on film examination and classification trends.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:
i. Be a Kenyan citizen;
ii. Have Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: Journalism, Public Relations, Mass Communication, Broadcast Production (Film/TV/Radio), Sociology, Criminology, Psychology, Education, religious studies, law or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
iii. Possess Certificate in computer applications.
