Develop and manage an effective social media strategy that acquires and retain users in general and within targeted audience segments
Plan, implement and analyze video and distributed content across multiple Facebook pages and other social media platforms
Monitor discussions, posts, and comments across multiple social media channels
Ensure all plans are aligned to the wider brand and editorial strategy and will drive increased consumer engagement, website traffic, data acquisition and maximize revenues, while also increasing brand equity and online awareness
Generate creative ideas for Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Tumblr, LinkedIn, Pinterest and more
Understand the brand and the community and ensure all plans and activity meet internal needs and our fans expectations.
Work with teams to edit and post the best and most viral, irresistible event clips and monitor strategies to maximize video views and content sharing
Develop other relevant social media outlets to support and expand KICC digital presence
Facilitate the preparation and drafting of digital communications (email, social media, blogs etc)
Creating content and management of the web page
Act as corporation photographer to capture outstanding memorable images and archiving the same in a photo library
Responsible for filming, editing and delivering outstanding video content for the organization
Produce detailed weekly and monthly performance reports and post campaign reports where appropriate
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-
Have a minimum period eight (8) years relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been at a level of principal Digital Communications Officer;
Have a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: - Communication, Journalism or Literature or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
Have a Master’s Degree from a recognized institution
Be a registered member of a relevant professional body.
Have a certificate in Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
Be proficient in computer applications.
Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
Applicants must comply with Chapter 6 of the Constitution and avail clearance certificates from:
Directorate of Criminal Investigation (certificate of good conduct)
Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) - Tax Compliance
Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)

The successful candidate’s appointment will be as follows:-
Job Grade KICC2 shall be appointed on a contract of five (5) years renewable once subject to performance
Job Grade KICC 3 shall be appointed on a contract of five (5) years renewable subject to performance.
Job Grade KICC 4, Job Grade KICC 5, Job Grade KICC 6 and Job Grade KICC 7 shall be appointed on permanent and pensionable terms
