The job entails support to the Nailab Seed Fund team in Kenya and the individual shall be responsible for fundraising activities in the region from existing donors/investors networks as well as sourcing for new financing.
Funds raised from activities are channeled towards Capital Expenditure of the start up businesses. The NSF is open to using various forms of funding instruments and strategies.
The position shall be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
|Responsibility||The Fundraiser is responsible for securing continuous financing for NSF from prospective donor networks and will be expected to broaden up towards new sources of financing for the Fund (NSF).|

|Overall Job objective and Tasks||? Responsible for developing and implementing a fundraising strategy to secure financing in consultation with Fund manager and fund staff;
? Identify and contact prospective leads and pursue to conclusion;
? Identify alternative and innovative fundraising possibilities in the region (businesses, foundations and private donors/investors);
? Draft profiles of the generated leads and work with the appropriate Fund management for joint follow up;
? Leverage on the fund past performance and profiles to generated fundraised revenue into the fund and operations.
|? Assess the various potential for funding by donors/investors and map opportunities;
? Develop and ensure quality control of Investment proposals and documents to fundraising targets;
? Be aware of the latest developments within the donor and investment community in the region and contribution to their policy setting;
|Qualifications needed||? Proven successful fundraising efforts with institutional donors and private sector fundraising.
? Experience with strategic donor liaison and good communication and lobby skills.
? Commitment to exceptional quality and customer satisfaction.
Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
? Ability to analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information and data
? Entrepreneurial and responding to opportunities
? Extensive relationship management skills in both private and public settings
? Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English

? Good knowledge of policies and working procedures of institutional donors, private sector institutions and private sector investors/foundations.
