Peyronies disease is a common condition affecting men of any age characterized by a curved penis and bent erection normally due to a wound on the penis. Men with the condition bear penises which are not fully fledged erect but are able to penetrate the vagina. "Because it's not fully erect with the banging of in and out, part of the penis which is usually the upper part of the penis tends to have a wound over time which causes a bending," relationship and sex therapist Maurice Matheka says. Despite lack of public awareness about the condition, studies have shown that peyronies has been estimated to affect 0.5% of the male population in the U.S. Maurice says that the condition affects mostly men in their 50s. There's some evidence that peyronies condition is genetic hence affecting certain families. Men with this condition refrain from sexual intercourse due to the pain inflicted by the wound on their penises hence sexually starving their partners. Some men however bear naturally bent penises since their long shafts restrict the penises' movement making the penis to slide to one direction. Men with naturally bent penises but don't have the peyronies condition however enjoy sexual intercourse with their partners. The sexologist deconstructs the myth that bearing a bent penis enhances sexual pleasure. "Whether the penis is bent or not that doesn't matter as long as the angle in body posture is right , and the penis girth is touching their partner's G-spot then their partners will get pleasure, " he says that women can only get sexual pleasure from the stimulus caused by the penis and not the direction it faces.
