A woman charged with deliberately infecting a nine-months-old baby with HIV will remain in custody for two more weeks.
Principal Magistrate Joe Omido allowed an application by the prosecution to have the hearing on bond deferred to allow them to complete investigations.
Susan Njeri is accused of breastfeeding her friend’s baby with the full knowledge that she was HIV positive.
Njeri allegedly committed the offence on September 25.
She has denied the charge.
An application to take samples from Njeri for HIV testing will be made on October 17.
She is remanded at Nakuru Police Station.
