A foreign footballer from a Western Africa country has shelved any plans to play for a top Kenya Premier League team after he was warned against the team.

The player had been courted by the said club but was quickly dissuaded by a former coach who has had dalliance with the club.

“He almost joined, but was told to avoid the team like a plague,” a source told Off-side. The said club is notorious for mistreating foreign players – with salaries not being paid regularly.

The player who is still in the country is making plans to travel back home after things failed to materialize.

The former pugilist has little to show for his previous achievements on the national stage. The man who became known for his hard punches has been struggling to feed his family after his side hustle which he took up many years ago to feed him collapsed after Covid-19 came knocking on the doorsteps of Kenyan sports.

A source who spoke to Off-side stated that the former star had at one point attempted to sell one of his kidneys to raise money for food – and other basic needs prompting his family to step in and help.

‘The only problem is that he drinks too much alcohol something that often puts him at loggerheads with friends and other people who often come to his aid.

The former star has partly been blamed for his own downfall with sources indicating that he had become an uncontrollable drunkard.

A footballer and his girlfriend of seven months have parted ways after the woman got pregnant despite him asking her to wait a bit longer.

The said player had reportedly asked for more time to know the woman – and study the environment after football was postponed over Covid-19 pandemic.

The player who met the woman just as Corona was beginning is said to have asked the woman to not get pregnant as he had no financial capabilities to care for the baby – also he sought more time to know the women.

Off-side has learned that the woman intentionally got pregnant to tie down the elusive player – sadly her plan seems to have failed after the player asked her to leave his life.
