Kenya Police will be out to get their first win of the season after a shock 1-0 loss to KCB in the opening fixture of the 2022-2023 FKF Premier League season.

The Policemen will host Kakamega Homeboyz at Ulinzi Sports Complex which will host a doubleheader on Saturday.

The second match will feature wounded Ulinzi Stars take on Posta Rangers from 2pm. The Police game will kick off from 1pm local time.

Police are buoyed by the return of Reagan Otieno, Alvin Mang'eni and David Okoth who missed the KCB match due to injury as head coach Sammy Omollo targets a first win.

Despite missing Marvin Nabwire, Dan Musamali and Bolton Omwenga, Omollo believes the depth of the team is enough to propel the team to victory.

"Losing our opening match was a lesson learned and is now behind us. Our focus is on using the available players whom I know have the quality to win matches and I trust they will play well against Homeboyz," said Omollo.

Last season, Homeboyz beat Kenya Police by a solitary goal in the first leg but the second leg ended in a 2-2 draw.

In Bungoma County, Nzoia Sugar will welcome Sofapaka at Sudi Stadium as they also hunt for their first win of the season.
