Fashion looks from the 2019 AMAs

Trendsetters By Audrey Masitsa

The American Music Awards (AMAs), held last night, honoured legendary musical feats. It brought together the who’s who in the music business with the likes of Lizzo making their debut at the awards show. While music giants like Beyoncé, Cardi B, Taylor Swift, Great Khalid and Bruno Mars won various awards, the fashion at the awards is commendable.

The red carpet was filled with loud colours, a step away from the more demure colours that have, in the past, been a favourite of the stars.

Lizzo stunned in an orange tiered gown paired with a mini purse, so mini it left me wondering what she managed to fit in there.

Ciara, who was the night’s host, went with blue for the red carpet but changed into different outfits on stage.

Toni Braxton dazzled in white while she performed.

See some of the fashion looks from the AMAs below and let us know your favourites.
