René was Celine’s manager as well as her husband - with the pair originally meeting when she was just 12-years-old and he was 38 after Celine’s late brother Michel Dion sent the music manager a demo tape of her singing.
Celine and René later embarked on their life-long romance in 1987 when she was 19 and he was 45.
The couple became engaged in 1991 and wed on 17 December 1994 when she was 26 and he was 52 - and remained blissfully married until René’s death.
