Ladies, don’t talk to your man about other men

We are already in the busy month of festivities. The season to let our hair loose, get some fun while we terrorize our livers.

But for most women the routine continues just as it started in January. The practice of constantly talking about other men goes unabated.

The other day I was having coffee with a banker pal of mine as we waited for traffic to ease up when he talked about something that has been nagging him quite a bit. “She’s always talking about this guy at her job and it really pisses me off,” my pal confessed. The sad story is that this is not the first I have heard men decry this bad manners from our sisters.

Men don’t like to hear women constantly talking about other men, at least not in their presence. It’s not necessarily an ego thing. It’s just that each man wants to feel special and important to the woman in his life. This does not mean that we men want to be tied a bib around our neck and fed on fermented porridge. No way.

Women don’t have to cradle us like babies. Nor do they need to be patronizing. But a woman would be wise to realize that the ego of a man can be fragile. Short men or those not in highly paying jobs in particular are constantly attempting to gain and maintain the basic elements of societal expectations of being a man. Further, all men want to have the ability to provide, protect, and be masters of our own destinies. Not talking excessively to your husband or boyfriend about how great you think other men are is one small thing that can go a long way toward healing the beleaguered male ego. There are many ways of getting your man into action or to convince him to take a specific route without dropping how names of your male acquaintances are doing this or that in a bid to do your bidding.

There are many ways of keeping your relationship tight and warm with your man. You can occasionally surprise your man with a dinner date, especially the impromptu ones, and while you are still at it please pay for the meal. Do not arrange for the date and when the bill comes you smile so sheepishly, you could take the Karbartonjo sheep to the cleaners.

You could also occasionally drop him to watch football with the boys and thereafter since you won’t sit to watch football take his car to that trusted carwash that he normally trusts and thereafter proceed home to make him a good tasty hot meal. It would really spice up things if you were to wait for him on the coach in nothing but a negligee.

These just but a few ways of keeping your man contented and when he is contented he will make sure that he meets your every need and want. He will be keen to ensure that this paradise continues and he will do everything below the sun to maintain this equilibrium.

Even when you talk in the house, talk about your future, a future that cannot exist without him. There will be no turning back in your rich love life. You will actually be the consultant of how to have a heart-throbbing relationship. That would be the ultimate satisfaction to him. It will be the ultimate glue that sticks your relationship together. It will be the ultimate aphrodisiac!
