Gadgets just for you

Your Home By Rose Kwamboka

Non-slip chopping station

The chopping board is made from food safe polypropylene with a finish that is completely free of bisphenol A (BPA). You can slice peppers, onions, carrots, or cut fillets of chicken or fish, then slide them in one of the station's two removable containers. This leaves the board clear for further chopping, whilst the containers can be removed to easily pour the contents into a frying pan. One container also features draining holes, so you can rinse and drain your ingredients without having to transfer them to a separate bowl or colander to be washed. It costs Sh2,750.

Mattress protector

A mattress protector helps protect the mattress from dust and other allergens hence increasing its longevity. It protects against any fluids and most allergens, dust mites, and bacteria. It is 100 per cent waterproof and contains no vinyl, which otherwise changes the feel of your mattress. Its surface is made out of 100 per cent cotton loops that makes the protector breathable so that it is cool in the hot season and warm in the cold season. Its elasticised fitted sheet style design securely fits up to 22 inch thick mattresses. It is ideal for those with kids, pets, allergies and asthma. It is machine washable and costs Sh4,250.
