Beautiful Christmas trees are sight to behold, make it happen this Christmas with these tips on tastefully decorating the tree.

Lights: The lights come in white or green cords with the green cords being the most popular. Mix and match these colours to achieve a beautiful look on the tree. Start from the bottom all the way up, wrapping the lights on the branches.

Garlands: These are decorative wreaths or cords that go round the tree. Choose to go with a variety of garlands. Opt for thick as well as slim ones. Different colours can also create a major difference. Slim ones are best hung from branch to branch and thicker garlands can go round the tree. You can mix all types and textures of garlands; from ribbons, paper to foil.

Ornaments: Settle on ornaments that will still look classic throughout the years. You can choose matte or shiny. Invest in beautiful ornaments and showcase the best at the prime positions on the tree. Mix different sizes of these balls to achieve a playful and beautiful look.

Topper: There is a wide variety to choose from. You can pick a star, angel, cross or even a pretty bow to add to the top part of the tree.

There is an inexhaustible range of decorations to add to the tree, including Christmas stockings. Be sure to invest in good and beautiful pieces. Have fun decorating the Christmas tree with family and friends.
