Trade Minister Chirau Mwakwere has today come out fighting in the face of allegations that he made inflammatory remarks during the Matuga by-election campaigns. Mwakwere maintains that he simply came out in defence of his constituents after they received threats from his political rivals. But the interim independent electoral chair Ahmed Isack Hassan has thrown a spanner in the works, saying it received a complaint from a voter during the campaigns and had issued a warning to Mwakwere.
