Colourful leather is my style

What bag are you carrying?
A red Chloe leather tote bag.
What do you like about this bag?
It’s spacious and carries everything I need. The short handles make me feel secure enough to carry it around.

How many bags do you have?
I have ten clutch bags, 20 handbags that include totes and non-totes and six sling bags.

Where do you buy your bags?
There’s a woman who buys them for me from Dubai. I also get many of them from second-hand markets like Mutindwa. Mr Price also stocks fashionable clutch purses.

What’s your style?

I generally like bright-coloured leather bags. I like leather because it’s durable.

What can you never leave without?
My books and magazines. The traffic in Nairobi is at times unbearable and reading keeps me occupied. I also can’t leave without my lip-gloss and lip balm. Chapped lips are unattractive.

What’s in your bag?
Mac Pink Blush, Manhattan lipstick, DV tapes for film work, hard disc, iPod, Sleek mascara, Sauti Sol’s new EP, coins purse, set of keys, sunglasses, notebook and Mac powder.

What bag do you covet?
That would be the Asile leather knapsack. I really want it although it’s quite pricey.
