For many brides, packing for the honeymoon can be a tough endeavour considering you can’t take your whole wardrobe with you.

Then again, the honeymoon is time set for you and your new partner to relax after a tedious wedding planning process and the actual event and not time for going shopping for items you forgot to pack.

First, to ensure you only carry what’s necessary, start planning early. Get to know where the honeymoon destination is so as to use it as a clue.

Whether headed for the beach or the bush, usually the destination will feature beautiful weather and so you will have to consider light clothes.

For day wear, pack light dresses in different prints and designs. You can play around with their lengths and styles according to your preference.

To complete the look, pack some sandals and accessories for your hair, hands or feet to add some elegance.

When it comes to night-time-wear, you can never go wrong with the little black dress and some cute shoes with straps for a candle-lit dinner. Carry one or two scarves for chilly night outs and a cute clutch bag to match.

When it comes to activities such as swimming, choose different types; From tankini bathing suits, in case you don’t want to show too much flesh, to one piece swim suits.

Pack pieces of wear in different colours and styles so you can mix and match them to create different looks.

To protect your skin while outside, don’t forget to carry some sunscreen at least with a ph of 15. But it shouldn’t stop there, bring along a cute floppy hat, sunglasses and flip flops or cute slippers for the beach or swimming pool.

For hiking, bird watching and such adventurous activities, pack a pair of shorts, T-shirts and some comfortable shoes.

When it comes to the most important part of the honeymoon, bring along lingerie in your style, colour and size. Get creative and daring, its your honeymoon for crying out loud. Surprise him and keep him guessing.
