When getting a tattoo, there's always a chance you might regret it one day, later on in life.
For instance, if you and your significant other get matching ink, you could regret it if you break up - and the same goes for best friend tattoos.
One woman has recently gone viral on TikTok after sharing her regret over getting matching tattoos with her former BFF.
Nikki, who posts online as @stressymessydepressymama, came across a clip warning people that it's a mistake to get matching tattoos with your best friend.
In response, she shared her own experience of doing just this and how it ended in tears.
The original video by @themrspedersen says: "What's a mistake you learned the hard way that you can now help others avoid?
"Don't get matching tattoos with your best friend, it's only cool until..."
To which Nikki adds: "Until she has an affair with your husband, takes over your entire life and starts raising your children as if they're her own.
The video has since been viewed more than one million times, garnering over 195,000 likes and thousands of comments.
People had so many questions about the situation - including what her tattoo was and how long the two women had been best friends for.
Nikki explained they'd been best friends for 11 or 12 years when the betrayal occurred and then showed off the tattoo on her ankle, which read: "You keep me wild".
Underneath this was morse code for 'best friends forever'.
A different user commented: "She said same tattoo same life."
"I need to know if you got revenge," proclaimed someone else. "I'm so sorry."
"Girl, you deserve so much better," added a third.
A fourth posted: "This could be a lifetime movie."
