Kanye West 'rewriting latest album to be about his divorce from Kim Kardashian

 Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.

Kanye West is rewriting his long-awaited tenth studio album, reports say. The rapper, entrepreneur and presidential candidate, 43, was due to drop Donda over the summer as a follow-up to 2019's Jesus Is King. But fans have been left waiting, with it now reported that he's tweaking his lyrics to reference his rumoured divorce from wife Kim Kardashian.

A music insider claimed: "Kanye's new album will be about the breakup and breakdown of his relationship with Kim. He has already been writing it for months."

The source added to The Sun that Kim has asked Kanye to be respectful of the family in his music. Reports emerged last week that sent shockwaves through the showbiz world, claiming that the couple were looking to split after a six-year union.

They tied the knot in a glam Florence ceremony in 2014, and have since gone on to have four kids together. A source said to The New York Post's celeb gossip column Page Six that "divorce is imminent", and that Kim and Kanye "are done" after six years of marriage.

The insider said: "Kim got Kanye to go up there [Wyoming] so they could live separate lives and quietly get things sorted out to separate and divorce. She's done."

They went on to say that Kanye has no plans to join his wife back in Los Angeles. The publication more recently reported that Kanye's 2020 bid for The White House - taking on Donald Trump and Joe Biden - was the "final straw" for Kim. And the Mirror reported that Kanye could be eyeing a reinvention in Europe - with London as his base of operations.

"Once the divorce is finalised, Kanye has told pals he sees his future in London," a source told us.

"He is keen to expand his Sunday Service Choir in Europe and thinks the English capital could be a good base."

Kanye claimed in a Twitter rant over the summer that he'd been seeking divorce from Kim since 2018. He also branded mother-in-law and Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner "Kris Jong-un."

But he soon apologised for his since-deleted tweets, and Kim urged compassion for her husband and his mental health.
