The former model - who shares two kids with husband John Legend - promised fans that although it might look like it, she's not having a crisis as she transformed into a mermaid in her latest Instagram offering.
Known for her brunette locks, Chrissy had a complete change of heart as she used a filter which made her long locks lilac. "Well I absolutely have to do this when I get home," she wrote. "I swear I’m okay! I realise this looks like I’m having a crisis lol I just wanna start looking the way I’ve always wanted to!!"
The clip shows Chrissy fiddle around with her hair as she got used to what it would look like once dyed. Returning to the comments section of her post, the mum-of-two added: "Important: If I do this, I’m not gonna go all sporty, I wanna still wear my boyfriend blazers and cami’s and skinny a** jeans and be a working a** tailored boss b***h who happens to have pink hair."
It seems as though fans were keen on the idea, as they rushed to share their thoughts on the striking new hair colour. Paris Hilton penned: "Loves it," in a nod to her signature phrase. "Love u for saying that lol Ur gorge. Live your best life," wrote Vanessa Hudgens.
One fan penned: "Loving it. Who cares what people think honestly! 2021 let's rid ourselves of other peoples opinions!!" While another added: "I love this new living in the moment/life crisis Chrissy... Looks good on you." Chrissy recently opened up about her decision to quit drinking alcohol as she celebrated one month of being sober.
Embracing her modified lifestyle, Chrissy, 35, explained what made her switch from drinking in the day and evening to not drinking at all.
"One month ago, on my birthday, I got this book from my doctor and friend," she told fans on Instagram as she held up Holly Whitaker's book titled Quit Like a Woman: The Radical Choice to Not Drink in a Culture Obsessed with Alcohol. I was done with making an a** of myself in front of people (I'm still embarrassed), tired of day drinking and feeling like s**t by 6, not being able to sleep," she said.
She recommended the book to her fans - even if they don't want to adapt the same lifestyle she's selected. Chrissy added: "I have been sober ever since and even if you can't see yourself doing it or just plain don't want to, it is still an incredible read." It comes after the former Victoria's Secret model also shared that she was seeking grief counselling after losing her unborn son.
Chrissy revealed in an emotional statement in October that the pair had lost their son Jack. The pair admitted that although they were forced to go through the most painful days of their life, their daughter Luna and son Miles have helped them come out a stronger family.
