Rapper Paid Will has died at the age of just 27, his bandmate has confirmed. The artist was from Detroit and was a part of the rap collective BandGang. BandGang formed in 2008 and are known for their albums like Untouchable, The Family, and WDW 2. Paid Will's death comes just months after the death of his fellow BandGang member Jizzle P.
His bandmate, BandGang Masoe, appeared to confirm the news on Twitter, though Paid Will's family are yet to release a statement. BandGang Masoe tweeted alongside broken heart emojis: "RIP Paid Will I'm crushed lil bro I'm sorry." Paid Will's last social media post was on Instagram on Thanksgiving Day, when he posted a picture showing off his watch and shoes.
He posted: "I can count the money with a blindfold. "I can count a hunnit with a blindfold. "200 on a dash hard to drive slow. "Never been a lick u can try doe. This chain I got on you'll die fo'." The comments section has now been flooded with tributes from his fans. He was first reported dead in a tweet from SayCheeseTv, which quickly went viral on Tuesday.
The account posted: "Popular Detroit rapper 'Bandgang Paid Will' has reportedly passed away. RIP." It comes just months after his fellow BandGang member Jizzle P was shot dead. Jizzle P was gunned down on Detroit's west side in September after an unknown suspect fired multiple shots into a vehicle, according to Fox2.
The rapper, whose real name was Aaron Mays, was just 25-year-old.
