Tanzanian music star Harmonize has been accused of forcing beef with his former boss and head of Wasafi Records Diamond Platinumz. The allegation came after Harmonize dropped his new song, Ushamba, a week ago, notably doing well and trending in Kenya and Tanzania. In the song, Harmonize insults Platnumz, terming him as a womanizer who can't zip up both trousers and mouth once in bed with someone.
Diamond Platinumz look alike
As if that was not enough, Harmonize used a Diamond Platinumz look-alike in that section of the video, which left people questioning whether he was forcing beef with his fellow singer.
In an interview with a Tanzanian media outlet, the Diamond Platnumz look-alike said he was happy because he got money but disappointed after learning that the section of the video he was in was about dissing Diamond. He was remorseful over the part played, vowing to never appear in any other video of the 'Ushamba' hitmaker.
It is nothing personal
In his response via Twitter and Instagram, Harmonize distanced himself from the allegations and said it was nothing personal. "Don't take it personal. Nothing but entertainment na naijua kweli. Raha ya uyani ufanane na ukweli kidogo! Let's go street anthem Ushamba out now," read his statement.
However, this back and forth has been an occurring feature of the two singers ever since they parted ways when Harmonize left Diamond's Wasafi label.
Barely a month ago, Kings Music Records CEO Ali Saleh Kiba, aka Alikiba, sparked interesting reactions after throwing shade at his nemesis Diamond Platnumz and Harmonize in his new hit song, Mediocre. After an almost inexplicably too-long hiatus, the self-proclaimed "King of Bongo Flava" decided to square it out with everyone attempting to dethrone him as the only King of Bongo. The bongo star insinuated that his rivals have been using dark forces (witchcraft) to wow fans and claim his crown.
