Samidoh has confirmed it’s all systems go as he prepares to entertain fans on October 17 at the new Clinton Hotel in Kikuyu, Kiambu County. Speaking to Standard Entertainment and Lifestyle, the star who’s known for hit songs among them Wendo Maguta, Wendo Na Urimu, Niwathire Naihenya and Wendo Wi Cama said the event will be significant as it will be the first major gig to be held in the area since pubs and restaurants reopened.
“My fans should expect the best of me as I will not disappoint. We thank our leaders for supporting our art and I trust musicians will reciprocate well to this talent support call. This will be a great bonanza and anyone who loves mugithi should not think of missing,” Samidoh said.
Several politicians have pledged to attend a much-publicised music concert being fronted by Senate Chief Whip, Senator Kang’ata Irungu who said, “It is a good thing that the entertainment scene is reopening up after musicians suffered financially in the months that entertainment spots were closed. We should all come out and support our artists- I am personally a great fan of Samidoh and I will be at Clinton hotel, not only as a chief guest but also as a music lover ready to shake a leg.”
Meanwhile, there was drama at The Fuse Club in Kiambu on Sunday night as the power went off when hundreds were enjoying Samidoh’s performance. The musician had just taken to stage when lights went off for over 10 minutes. The fans who had paid a gate charge of Sh500 were not amused as the music went silent. However, after the issue was resolved, Samidoh overdid himself as he gave the revellers a one hour, non-stop show.
