Nigerian oil magnate Femi Otedola has caused quite a stir on social media after buying three Ferraris for his daughters, Dj Cuppy, Temi and Tolami. According to caranddriver.com, a Ferrari Portofino starts from around Sh23 million, translating to Sh69 million for three rides. Dj Cuppy shared photos of the three supercars bearing customised number plates on social media with the caption, “Papa took us shopping and bought one of each!”

Mr Otedola is an importer of fuel products and owns a stake in a power generation company. He also owns other businesses in shipping, real estate and finance. He was listed in Forbes’ Africa’s 50 Richest in 2015 but dropped off in 2016. In 2019, Forbes estimated Otedola to be worth around Sh120 billion. Even though Mr Otedola is considered a self-made billionaire, the family boasts of old money as his father, the late Michael Otedola was governor of Lagos state between 1992 and 1993.

DJ Cuppy, who was the official disc jockey during the May 2015 inauguration of Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari recently responded to a fan’s inquiry regarding her dating life. DJ Cuppy said that she and her sister Tolani are not in a relationship writing, “We’re both single, LMAO.”
