After pledging to assist the family of the late Benson Wanjau aka Mzee Ojwang’, who passed on due to illness two weeks ago, the Performers Rights Society of Kenya (PRiSK) handed over a cheque of Sh50,000 to the family early this week.

The cheque was received on behalf of the family by Mama Kayai who is commonly referred to as Mzee Ojwang’s TV wife thanks to her decades-long role in the TV comedy series Vitimbi.

“We will continue to offer assistance to our members as we have a medical insurance cover. However, members should register and take advantage of the medical cover we are offering in partnership with British American Insurance Co (Britam),” the PRiSK CEO Angela Ndambuki said during the hand over.

Also present was PRISK director Millicent Ogutu and marketing and communication consultant, DNG.
