Adele has gone through a massive year of change and now looks totally different to the shy superstar seen in the summer of 2019. Last year, the singer, 32, headed off on holiday this time last year and shared pictures from her adventures across the US. She went camping, relaxed on a yacht and headed off exploring in the wilderness.
In the pictures, Adele seemed to shy away from showing off her body with shots taken from a distance and with her crouching down or facing away from the camera. In one shot, she was seen wearing work out gear during a hike through a canyon and covering her body with her knees and arms. Many were taken from a distance with fans unable to make out much detail.
The pictures look vastly different to the snaps she's posted this year, with Adele confidently posting an image of herself wearing a bikini top and leggings last night. It proves the singer has come a long way and has learned to embrace her body. She's now oozing body confidence in a way that's totally different to her posts from just 12 months ago. In one picture from last year's hols, Adele was seen swimming but she kept her whole body hidden under the water with just her head visible from a distance.
However, what's clear in the pictures from Adele's 2019 summer holiday, is that she's already embraced a healthy new life style. During one of the hikes, she was seen raising her arm and pulling a bodybuilder style pose as she reached the top of a hill. It looks like she had already started her weight loss journey as one picture, which shows her sprawled on her yacht, showed her looking svelte and slender in a pair of yellow pajamas.
A year later, Adele posted her bikini snap as a tribute to the cancelled Notting Hill Carnival as she recreated the event in her garden. Adele is said to have lost more than three stone - with some reports claiming it's up to seven - in the last year. She's said to have started changing her diet after the birth of her son Angelo in 2012, ditching cigarettes and cutting back on booze.
The singer reportedly started embracing a new diet 2017 focusing on plant-based foods like kale, buckwheat, green tea and turmeric. She is also said to have embraced the gym with regular work outs. Although she's not spoken about her exercise regime, her personal trainer Pete Geracimo revealed it was all about getting healthy - not losing weight.
He said: "When Adele and I started our journey together, it was never about getting super-skinny.
"It was about getting her healthy. Especially post-pregnancy and post-surgery.
"When 25 dropped and the tour announced, we had to get ready for a 13-month grueling schedule. In that time, she warmed to training and made better food choices...
"As a result, she lost considerable weight and people took notice. Her body transformation was splashed across every media outlet.
"The attention it generated was mind-blowing."
