A woman has been charged with murder after a game of hide-and-seek allegedly ended with her zipping her boyfriend into a suitcase.
Sarah Boone, 42, is accused of leaving partner Jorge Torres Jr., to die after filming the ordeal and appearing to mock him on video.
Boone, from Florida, US, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder on Tuesday, February 25, after she reported his death to police.
She told detectives the couple had been playing a game at her home, outside Orlando, while drinking alcohol the day before and had decided it would be funny if Torres got inside the luggage.
She then claims she forgot what she had done and fell asleep for hours - before realizing her 42-year-old partner was still trapped.
She called 911 after finding him unresponsive and not breathing.
Orange County Sheriff's Office say they arrested Boone after finding “inconsistencies” between her account and two videos retrieved from her phone.
In them, she can allegedly be heard mocking Torres as he attempts to escape from the blue suitcase, telling his partner he couldn't breathe.
They also show her laughing as Torres cries out her name.
“Yeah that’s what you do when you choke me,” Boone is recorded saying.
One of the clips shows the suitcase facing downwards as Torres pushes in a desperate attempt to be freed.
The other shows the luggage in a different position as he cries out to Boone.
As he continued to beg for help, saying he was unable to breathe, Boone responded: "That’s on you. Oh, that’s what I feel like when you cheat on me."
Police found Torres dead when they arrived at the scene, with a small cut on his lip and bruising around his eye.
